MEET MS. INGALLS!
MS. INGALLS IS INTERNING FROM UNF AND SHE WILL BE WITH US UNTIL MAY. SHE HAS BEEN A GREAT ADDITION TO ALIMACANI AND OUR CLASSROOM!
WEEK OF JANUARY 27...
In math, we are in module five which is fractions and
decimals. Students will add, subtract
and multiply fractions. Students will
also simplify, compare and order fractions.
With decimals, students will learn place value, comparing, ordering and
changing a fraction to a decimal. We
completed our unit on geometry. We are also
finished with module three which covered the area/perimeter formulas,
multiplication and division. We have finished
place value and the measurement conversions unit. Students should now be fluent with reading,
writing, comparing, rounding and the addition and subtraction algorithm of
numbers to the millions place. Students
should also be comfortable with using a reference sheet and converting metric
units. It is important that your child
works on Reflex Math and i-ready weekly at home. Prodigy is also available as a “fun” reward.
Lunch is from 12:15-12:45. Resource days vary week to
week and are from 8:45-9:30.
