WEEK OF APRIL 26...

In math, we are continuing to work with fractions and decimals.  Students are comparing, adding/subtracting with like denominators, multiplying, and simplifying fractions.  Students are also learning about decimals including place value, comparing, and changing fractions to decimals.  We finished module four which covered geometry.  Students learned about lines, shapes and measuring angles using a protractor.  We have completed the first two modules as well.  They covered place value and all four algorithms of larger numbers.  It is important that your child works on i-Ready, Freckle and Penda weekly at home.

In science, we are studying the earth, moon, and space.  Students will learn about seasons, moon phases and revolution and rotation.
