WEEK OF FEBRUARY 1...
In math, we are working on our biggest unit – fractions/decimals. Students will compare, add/subtract with like denominators, multiply and simplify fractions. We finished module four which covered geometry. Students learned about lines, shapes and measuring angles using a protractor. We have completed the first two modules as well. They covered place value and all four algorithms of larger numbers. It is important that your child works on i-Ready, Freckle and Penda weekly at home.
In science, we are finishing Unit 8 which covers speed and motion. Students will learn about motion, speed and how to calculate speed.
Lunch is from
12:30-1:00. Resource days vary week to
week and are from 8:45-9:30.

In science, we are finishing Unit 7 which covers Energy then “moving” in speed and motion. We worked with potential/kinetic, renewable/nonrenewable resources and different forms of energy.
