Teachers received training for Duval HomeRoom and it is a go for Monday. The quick rundown:
- All students are expected to complete lessons online (i-Ready, Achieve3000, Reflex Math, etc.) and/or the County packets.
- Attendance taken daily and grades given weekly for completion of tasks and participation.
- If no internet capability, students will complete the packets dropped off by school buses at the closest bus stop.
- Those same buses will also have free lunches to pass out.
- Students that can will be expected to check Teams (duvalschools.org - popular link - oneview(webmail) - array of dots top left - Teams).
The math expectation:
- Pass two i-Ready lessons each day Monday through Friday.
- Grades on the i-Ready lessons will be calculated as quiz grades in FOCUS.
- Earn a green light on Reflex Math each day Monday through Friday.
- Green lights will be calculated as homework/class participation grades in FOCUS.
- If you do not have internet capability, completing portions of the packet and submitting the work.
- Grades on the packet will be calculated as quiz grades in FOCUS.
When we left for Spring Break we were working on adding and subtracting mixed numbers and simplifying (5 2/8 + 6 6/8 = ?). We need to finish fractions and move into decimals. i-Ready lessons will be adjusted accordingly.
We have three teachers available to help you navigate through this new adventure. We know there will be some speed bumps along the way and we are here to help anyway we can. We all have google phone numbers you or your student can call or text.
