In math, we are working on our biggest unit – fractions/decimals. Students will compare, add/subtract with like denominators, multiply and simplify fractions. Students will also learn decimals including place value, comparing and changing fractions to decimals. We finished module four which covered geometry. Students learned about lines, shapes and measuring angles using a protractor. We have completed the first two modules as well. They covered place value and all four algorithms of larger numbers. It is important that your child works on i-Ready, Freckle and Penda weekly at home.
In science, we are studying rocks, minerals, weathering and erosion. Students will learn about the different kinds of rocks and how they are formed.
Lunch is from 12:30-1:00. Resource days vary week to week and are from 8:45-9:30.
