WEEK OF APRIL 12...
In math, we are continuing to work with fractions and decimals. Students are comparing, adding/subtracting with like denominators, multiplying and simplifying fractions. Students are also learning about decimals including place value, comparing and changing fractions to decimals. We finished module four which covered geometry. Students learned about lines, shapes and measuring angles using a protractor. We have completed the first two modules as well. They covered place value and all four algorithms of larger numbers. It is important that your child works on i-Ready, Freckle and Penda weekly at home.
In science, we are studying the earth, moon and space. Students will learn about seasons, moon phases and revolution and rotation.
Lunch is from 12:30-1:00. Resource days vary week to week and are from 8:45-9:30.
